The Port of Portsmouth
Portsmouth is located in Hampshire on the South Coast of England and is probably Britain’s best connected Ferry Port. Sailings out of Portsmouth go to St Malo, Caen, Bilbao, Cherbourg, Le Havre and Santander. Portsmouth also has crossings to Jersey and Guernsey in the Channel Islands. The Ferry Companies operating out of Portsmouth are Brittany Ferries, Condor Ferries and DFDS Seaways.

Portsmouth Ferry Port by Car
Portsmouth Ferry Port has the best road connections of any United Kingdom Channel Port. The M275, which is accessed via the M27 or the A27, runs directly in to the Ferry Port itself.

Mother and baby room
If you’re travelling with babies it's good to know that both the main concourse and mezzanine level have baby changing rooms.
Cafeteria
Open from 6am to 10:30pm the World Mache bar/café and Costa Coffee accept both Pounds Sterling and Euros.
ATM
You’ll find a cash machine that offers both Pounds Sterling and Euros next to the Travelex Bureau de Change.
Disabled facilites
- • There are 2 customer lifts that provide access to the mezzanine floor
- • Disable passengers can make use of disabled parking spaces outside the terminal building
- • There are no toilets suitable for wheelchairs in the 1st floor. You’ll find them on the main level of the terminal building, next to the car lanes and along the quayside after
- • Disabled/elderly passengers have preference seats marked in the terminal
- • All food outlets are accessible to wheelchair users
- • Disabled foot passengers have the possibility of using an adapted minibus to board the ships
- • There are wheelchairs available in the terminal for emergencies

Costa Coffee offers Internet terminals in the seating area. Charges apply.
Secure Luggage Storage
You can arrange to secure your luggage whilst you wait for your ferry at the Port Security / Information Desk. This service has a charge of £4 per day. Please be aware that you must collect your luggage before the terminal closes and that they don’t accept any electronic equipment.
Pets
Alexandra Park is the nearest park to the port. This is located just over a mile to the north of the port, just off the A3. Alexandra Park is around 5 minutes drive or 20-25 minutes walk away.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed to enter the terminal building, or indeed out of the vehicle in which they are travelling, once the security check point has been passed. Dogs are allowed out of the vehicle in the port area providing that they are on a lead. There is a dog waste bin near to the toilet block next to the check in kiosks.
Post box
There is a Royal Mail serviced post box outside the terminal building main entrance.
Shops
There is a newsagent shop on the lower level, main concourse. It’s open 7 days a week from 6am to 10:30pm.
Telephones
If you need to make a call and you’re out of battery you have two options: payphones on the lower level and a mobile phone charging point on the second floor.
Facilities for Lorry Drivers
There is a driver's rest room available outside the main terminal open 24/7 which offers a drinks/snacks vending machine. There are shower rooms, male and female, located next to the Portsmouth Handling Services.
Viewing deck
If you’re looking to relax whilst enjoying the views over the port you’ll find a no smoking outdoor viewing deck accessible from the 1st floor.
Giant Screen
A 25m2 outdoor screen has recently been installed. It offers latest news, wheather conditions and updates on the boarding process.
