The Ferryport of Caen is situated in North West France in the Lower Normandy region approximately 2 hours from Paris. The Car Ferry Terminal is located at Ouistreham. Caen Ferry Port by Car

The motorway network is very close to Caen with easy access from Paris, The Loire, Brittany and the south. The N175 connects to Mont St Michael and Brittany, the N13 connects to Bayeux and Cherbourg, whilst the N158 leads to Le Mans and the Loire Valley.

Bureau de change

The Bureau de Change is open at weekends and for all sailings at weekdays.

 

Cafeteria

There is a bar open from 06:30 to 23:00.

 

Car Rental

All rental companies are in Caen, next to the railway station. You will not have the possibility to hire a car in Ouistreham but there are companies that deliver pre-booked cars to the terminal.

 

Disabled facilites

  • • The terminal is a one storey building and wheelchair accessible
  • • There are two disabled parking bays outside the terminal
  • • There are disabled toilets in the car lanes and the second parking area
  • • There are two adapted buses - one with a ramp and one specifically adapted for wheelchairs
  • • There are wheelchairs available in the terminal for emergencies

 

Internet

Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available in the car lanes and in the terminal.

 

Regular Bus Service

A bus service transports passengers between the terminal and the ships both for arrivals and departures.

 

Pets

Dogs are allowed out of the vehicle in the port area providing that they are on a lead and muzzled. Unfortunately they are not allowed to enter the terminal building, or indeed out of the vehicle in which they are travelling, once checked in.

There are payphones in the terminal. You can purchase phone cards at the tourist information office.
