Having your motorcycle breakdown at any time is inconvenient but when you are abroad it can turn into a nightmare. What if you get sick and you can’t ride your bike? What about your pillion? Who will get you both home? If you don't speak the local language, how do you cope with an accident? With our European Breakdown Cover you can ride safe in the knowledge that you are being taken care of by the world's largest assistance provider.
If you’re planning a one-off journey to Europe, one of our Single Trip European motorcycle breakdown policies can insure your bike for the duration of your visit. But if you’re a more frequent visitor to the Continent, we also provide Annual Multi Trip Breakdown Cover.

Unfamiliar with the country you’re visiting or need to brush up on the local rules of the road? Check out our specific European country checklists to be certain that your knowledge is up to speed!
Our European motorbike breakdown policies offer excellent all round levels of cover, designed to prepare you for a range of eventualities. With either single trip or annual insurance for your bike, we can help you get back on the road. For example, if your motorcycle requires roadside assistance while in Europe, our breakdown cover can make sure you are towed to a local garage, given a replacement vehicle or even provided with overnight accommodation. Alternatively, our policies can support you if your bike is stolen, or if you require legal funds.
Book for immediate cover
Many breakdown providers will not provide assistance in the first 48 to 72 hours after a policy has been issued in order to combat potentially fraudulent claims. This is not ideal if your need is genuine and you're on your way abroad. This could then result in you potentially driving around Europe uninsured until this "no claim" period has passed.
If you need to "book and go", our Eurobreakdown policies will provide instant cover for your motorcycle provided you have not left the UK and you have not had an incident and intend to claim.
Whenever you book online or via the call centre, the policy certificate, wording and emergency contact details are emailed to you instantly.
Everything that you require for emergency assistance during your trip will be contained within these emailed documents.
No callout limits per trip
The Eurobreakdown policies set no limits on the number of times you can call for assistance during your trip. So if you need help, call and we'll provide whatever assistance is required to get you and your motorbike on your way again in the shortest possible timeframe.

Costs we pay to pick up your bike from abroad
If you have left your bike abroad for repairs and have returned to the UK and you choose to return to pick it up rather than wait for it to be repatriated, then the breakdown cover provider will pay expenses for you to collect your bike in order to allow you to continue with your return journey.
