The Port of Dunkirk
The port of Dunkirk (Dunkerque) in France, very close to Calais, connects with Dover and is one of the busiest ferry ports in Europe.
The fact that the line Durkirk - Dover is operated by only one operator, DFDS Seaways, makes boarding and disembarking the ferry a much easier experience than in other busy ports. The average crossing time is 2 hours.
