FAQ - Claim amounts?

The levels of cover are clearly shown on the european breakdown cover policy wording. Certain levels of cover have limits such as car hire at £2000 or accommodation at a max claim limit of £450 per person. If you exceed these by personal choice then you will be liable for any costs over and above these limits.

Where the level of cover is shown as unlimited, there is no maximum claim limit other than the value of the vehicle. For example if your 11 year old car, which has broken down in Greece is worth  £1500 and the cost of repatriation is  £2500 then the insurer would seek to limit the claim to the maximum value of the car. The client would then be repatriated back to the UK, be reimbursed the value of the car and then the insurer would then arrange for the disposal of the vehicle abroad.
